The Grand Umaid Bhawan Palace a favorite with tourist visiting the city, The palace was made between 1928 to 1943 by Maharaja Umaid Singh, and architecture design by British citizen Henry Lanchester which shows a blend of eastern western architectural influences.
The Umaid Bhawan Palace is a lavish art deco monument which was built as a public relief and employment project during a long period of drought. A special type of sandstone (Chittor sandstone) and about one million square feet of the finest marble was used for its construction. It has 347 rooms, many courtyards, hotel (Taj Palace), and a banquet hall.

Jaswant Thada
This is a memorial site It is a marble marvel in Jodhpur which is commonly known as the Taj Mahal of Marwar. Jaswant Thada is named after Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, and was built by his son Maharaja Sardar Singh in 1899 and made up of pure white marble that still retains all of its allure. The cenotaphs and domes carved in traditional Rajasthani fashion make this monument a charming sight to behold. Pillars and Arches around the main marble monuments are adorned with delicate carvings. The memorials inside the monuments are beautifully decorated with elaborate artwork, paintings and pictures of the deceased rulers.
